		<description>You know most malware back in the day was just for annoyance, but malware today is all about making money.  Believe it or not, it&#039;s a major business and people pay people to write malware, many times malware writers force your computer to follow affiliate links, click banners (banner fraud), steal credit card and login info, etc.

They amass tens of thousands of computers into botnets that are then rented to spammers (now you know where those viagra ads come from) or people looking to orchestrate sophisticated attacks...

		<description>I too have often wondered what people get out of putting all those crazy viruses and mal-ware out there.  Last month I got hit with two of those fake antivirus things and luckily I got them all cleaned off my computer but my computer was almost put out of commission during the process.  I think they do it just hoping that someone out there would be stupid enough to try buying their fake programs so they can get enough info to steal identities.  It&#039;s crazy and I hate it.  By the way congrats on the new baby.</description>
